• Investigative Referral to City / State / Federal Law Enforcement Agency

• Prosecutorial Referral to City / State / Federal Law Enforcement Agency

  • Analysis

Investigative Analysis is an aspect of California Protective Services that is unlike mainstream investigations. Using both Former Special Agents and alike, who have Juris Doctorates, we are able to constructively review depositions, pleadings, complaints, interrogatories, witness interviews and such to determine causes of action that would be most likely successful pursuits. This is especially important in Criminal Investigative / Prosecutory Referrals, where the crime, the predicate, and the element must be identified clearly and distinctly.

  • Case Management

Another unique offering from California Protective Services is case management. Often times owner operator law firms don't have the support staff they need to effectively manage larger cases. In this way, we provide smaller firms with the level of support necessary to compete in the larger firm market. Between cloud services for document and Bates numbering, labeling, stamping and coding; we have the right support staff to make case management a streamlined and effective means of management.

  • Pre-Trial Support

From case inception to trial. California Protective Services delivers unparalleled investigative services to any legal team. We stand by our 100% track record in person to person service of process. We have never failed to serve a summons or any other service of process in either municipal, superior or federal courts. Locating witnesses and performing witness interviews is another skill set that sets us apart from other firms. Using both the Reid and Wicklander & Zulawski methods of interviewing, several of our investigators are Certified Interviewers from both Reid and Wicklander & Zulawiski. Asset Searches and Background Investigations become an absolute necessity for per-trials. Knowing everything about your opponent helps to find exploitable weaknesses, we are here to help find those weaknesses.

  • Jury Selection

Jury Selection is nothing short of art in motion. It requires a very clear understanding of the trial needs and the ability to assess a person just from looking at them. The investigators who are dedicated to this service have PhD.'s in Criminology and Psychology. This is the art of profiling. This process begins during the Voir Dire of potential jurors. Through thought provoking questions, our specialists can assess jurors' behaviors, sensitivities and resistances to information. They are the beginning to what will be a systematic method of winning the minds of the jurors. In secondary phases of this service, we then conduct in depth backgrounds on the jurors and monitor changes in their lifestyle and finances to assure against jury tampering.

  • Witness Screening

Different than witness interviews, the same investigators who specialize in Jury Selection also conduct witness screening. Using depositions, witness interviews, in addition to in-depth background reports, these investigators can identify shifts in truthfulness, cooperation, and emotional courage which are important qualities of a good witness.
